With Memorial Day events hailing because of the historical roots since the 19th century, there are certain facts stringed to the occasion that accounts towards the honoring practice of the soldiers. The military veterans who lost their lives during the war in order to protect their country against the hatred and violence that waits. They fought so that everybody else rests in peace doing chores peacefully for their everyday living without the intervention of any risk. By the 1900s it became more like a memorable day for the people to celebrate. Memorable Day has become a holidaying weekend for the people of America. - An approx. figure estimates that around 6,20,000 soldiers gave up on their lives to maintain the dignity, peace and well-being of the nation during the Civil War, but who basically came up with the thought of celebrating Memorable Day is still a debating topic.
- With Congress passing a law that was even sanctioned by the President asks the Americans to stop their activities at 3pm and to give a moment to honor the soldiers by remembering them on the Memorable Day.
- Every one must have noticed the traditional wear of red poppies, you know where the style or rather the idea originated from. It was from John McCrae’s poem of 1915 named “In Flanders Fields”.
- The picnic is usually hosted by people in parks or towns they have always wanted to visit. But guess what there is a tradition to eat a meal in a picnic by sitting on the cemetery ground and people from the rural areas still do so on Memorable Day.
